Adipsia
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. ⏤ Revelation 22:17
Older people can begin to lose their sense of thirst, leading to dehydration and serious health problems. It seems equally possible that people in the Church can lose their thirst for Jesus, leading to serious spiritual problems. The remedy is the same. Keep drinking, whether thirsty or not.

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. ⏤ Philippians 3:7-8a
The value of an art piece is determined at auction. What will someone pay for it today? Currencies can be valued at auction or pegged to a standard, like gold. Paul judged the value of everything by the standard of knowing Jesus, which is eternal life. By comparison, his basket of achievements, qualifications, merits, and possessions was a loss. Garbage. Dung.
Job Description
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? ⏤ 1 Corinthians 5:12
It's good to review a job description. Over time, we can get weighed down with responsibilities that were never intended. The job of the Church is to live eternal life (which is life with God, knowing him) in a culture of death, and recruit others to join us. That's what we should assess. Are we coming to know God? Do we love him with heart, soul, mind, and strength? Are we loving the world as ourselves? These set us up for a good appraisal.
